About

Engineer.
Leader.
Proposal Winner.

I'm Łukasz Sołek — a battery systems engineer whose career spans the full depth of the energy storage value chain: from materials science and cell electrochemistry through to module and pack design, high-voltage system integration, and OEM programme leadership at the highest levels of the automotive industry.

My journey began at OXIS Energy (Culham Science Centre), where over five years I progressed from Metallurgist to Battery Production Engineer — working on Lithium-Sulfur technology, one of the most ambitious advanced battery chemistries ever developed. This foundation gave me first-principles depth in materials behaviour, electrochemistry, and cell manufacturing that most pack-level engineers simply don't have.

From there I moved through Jaguar Land Rover (Gaydon) and Williams Advanced Engineering (Grove, Oxfordshire) — contributing to BEV current carrier systems and the landmark Lotus Evija electric hypercar, before joining Rimac in 2020.

At Rimac I rose from Senior Battery Systems Engineer to Feasibility Engineering Manager — the role where technical depth meets commercial strategy. Over 5+ years I led engineering teams and personally authored proposals including the BMW i7 full-EV battery contract and a further BMW Group executive saloon battery programme — among the most significant business wins in Rimac's history.
